The Mini Trebuchet Project.
I think this project could have gone better for our group if we were more managed and the proper research. I was in a group of friends for this project so that partially distracted me and I wasn't exactly the most interested in mini trebuchats. We built our trebuchat out of popsicle sticks and used a battery and rubber bands for weight and tension. were supposed to decorate our to a theme but we just painted it random colors. In the end our trebuchat didnt really work but i was a worth wile learning experience.
The Rube Goldberg Project
First off, I think that the Rube Goldberg project went pretty badly for me and my group. I think we spent way too much time trying to prove ourselves and arguing rather than working on putting our steps on the rube. We didn't get along at all and we spent valuable work time fighting each other the hole time while we were already behind.
Our rube Goldberg machine was originally supposed too apply a band aid. Each one of are group members had to make a simple step that link up with each other to apply the bandied. We started buy drawing our steps out on paper and and making prototypes of our steps. After we finished the finale version of our steps we attached them too an up write board.
At the exhibition our rube Goldberg competed in 3 categories, aesthetics, reliability and satire. When we got to the exhibition our rube gold burg machine didn't compete because we didn't have enough steps complete. Overall i think this project was a great learning experience but it could've gone a lot better
